Diabetes

While there is no cure for diabetes, there are steps you can take to control your diabetes. Changing your eating habits and becoming physically active can help!

Optimal nutrition is important to push your health goals forward. According to the American Diabetes Association, our plates should be half full with nonstarchy vegetable, one-fourth full of lean protein, and one-fourth full of carbohydrates with a low-calorie drink.

It may seem hard to change your eating habits, so that’s why we use Diabetes Food Hub and Diabetes Plate Method by the American Diabetes Association! Diabetes Food Hub offers a variety of recipes with healthier alternatives. Diabetes Plate Method gives you an outline of what your plate should look like and provides examples of recommended foods. Start small to make a big impact on your health!
