Frequently Asked Questions
How can I schedule an appointment?
We offer Open Access Scheduling, also known as Same Day Scheduling. You can call the day you want to be seen and ask for a same day appointment. With this, we reduce the risk of patients not showing up if they were scheduled ahead of time and allow patients to be seen more urgently. You can call in at 8:30AM to schedule your same day appointment.
I’m a new patient. What do I need to complete for my first appointment?
If you are a first-time patient, we schedule only on a Same-Day basis. You can call the same day you would like to be seen to schedule an appointment. When you are scheduled, you MUST bring a picture ID (i.e. Driver’s License), your insurance card, vaccination card (for adolescents) and any medication you are currently taking. We ask that you complete new patient paperwork prior to your appointment which can be accessed here.
How do I set up patient portal access?
You need to be in office with a valid picture ID to establish a patient portal account. When you register for the Updox patient portal, you’ll get 24/7 access to your medical chart. Updox is seamlessly integrated with our electronic medical record system and grants you access to your chart from the comfort of your home or office. Updox is HIPAA compliant and a safe and secure way to communicate with your provider.
Updox Features:
- Message your provider or any other office staff member
- View your prescriptions
- Request appointments
- View your lab results
What if I miss an appointment?
We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellation. If you have 3 consecutive no show appointments, you will be removed as an active patient with Riverside Family Physicians.
